Netflix to cancel subscription for dormant accounts

Netflix will soon start canceling the subscription of dormant accounts. Netflix claims that it has less than 1% accounts that contribute to the dormant account.

Netflix will send an email or in-app notifications to those users who have an active subscription but haven’t watched anything sinch last 2 years, and ask them if they want to keep their membership. If users’ don’t reply, Netflix goes ahead and cancels their subscription. If canceled account users’ joined Netflix back within 10-months then their favorites, profiles, viewing preferences and account details will be restored.

The move will definitely earn some brownie points to Netflix. In the pandemic COVID-19, People are losing jobs and they are running out of cash. So this move from streaming giant will help people to save some hard-earned cash.
