Asus Zenfone 6 goes official. The phone is the successor of Zenfone 5Z launched last year. The key features include a 48MP flip camera, Snapdragon 855 SoC, 5000mAh battery.

The phone is available via the Asus eShop and will start shipping from May 25. The handset is available in two color options – Midnight Black and Twilight Silver.

The phone features a 6.4-inch full HD+ LCD panel with a screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The phone doesn’t have any kind of notch so it has over 90% screen to body ratio. The screen panel support HDR10. The phone is driven by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM options along with 64GB/128GB/256GB internal storage.
In terms of camera, it features a very innovatively rotating dual camera. It features a dual camera setup consisting of the 48MP f/1.79 main camera and a 13MP 125-degree ultra-wide camera along with a dual-LED flash. The camera flips to the front when users want to take the selfie. The camera lacks optical stabilization but both cameras support up to 4K video recording.
Just like the OnePlus 7 Pro the camera equipped with free-fall protection feature, which will automatically retract the camera to its base position if the phone detects sudden movement.
Zenfone 6 packs a massive 5,000mAH battery that supports 18W fast charging and runs on Android 9.0 Pie based on ZenUI. Connectivity option includes USB Type-C, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5), Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS connectivity options. The phone comes with a conventional fingerprint sensor at the back. The dimensions of the new Asus phone are 159.1×75.11×8.1-9.1mm and it weighs 190 grams.
