Blackmagic introduced a new Pocket Cinema Camera that can shoot videos up to 6k resolution.
The camera uses Canon’s EF mount sensor. The sensor is a 6K S35 23.10mm x 12.99 with 6144 x 3456 resolution. When shooting in 6K using the full size of the sensor the crop factor is 1.558x. Blackmagic claims that Camera 6K has 13 stops of dynamic range with dual native ISO of 400 and 25,600. The new Camera 6K can capture a full 50fps at 6144 x 3456 (16:9), 60fps at 6144 x 2560 (2.4:1), and 60fps at 5744 x 3024 (17:9).
In terms of connectivity, it comes with a lot of options. It has a USB Type-C expansion port for recording to external media, a full-size HDMI port, a mini XLR connection with 48-volt phantom power, a 3.5mm mic jack, headphone jack. The camera has a 5-inch touchscreen which has options like playback controls, focus and many more.
The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K (BMPCC 6K) is available at the price of $2,495 worldwide.
