Canon’s new professional DSLR, the EOS-1D X Mark III launched in India. The camera is a successor of the 1D X Mark II. Inside EOS-1D X Mark III, is a new CMOS sensor and new Digic processor. The camera is capable of shooting up to 16fps with autofocus in the optical viewfinder, and 20fps in live view mode in a mechanical or electronic shutter.
The Canon EOS-1D X Mark III features a newly enhanced and better AF sensor with deep learning. Canon claims it provides 28 times the resolution than the previous generation 1DX Mark II AF. With deep learning AI technology, the camera can track the subject very accurately. In live view mode, you’ll have 525 phase-detect AF pixels powered by Canon’s Dual Pixel system that gives 90 x 100% coverage.
Canon has introduced a new type of image format called 10-bit HEIF (high-efficiency image file). Canon claims, it will offer a more dynamic range and a wider color palette than JPEG.
In terms of videos, the camera will shoot 4K resolution at 60fps with 10-bit 4:2:2 Canon Log internal recording. With CFexpress storage, the 1D X Mark III will have a buffer five times the size of the 1D X mark II. To recall, Mark II could shoot up to 170 RAW photos at full resolution and 14fps or 20fps burst.
Connectivity option includes built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, optical wireless transmitter and Built-in ethernet with transfer speed 2x fast as 1D X Mark II. The camera sports a weather-resistant magnesium alloy body.
