Canon has announced its first full-frame mirrorless camera called Canon EOS Ra. The camera is designed for dedicated deep sky and night sky photography.
The camera uses a 30.3-megapixel CMOS sensor with DIGIC 8 Image Processor. The EOS Ra has modified the infrared filter that allows four times as much transmission of the 656nm wavelength (hydrogen-alpha rays) compared to the regular Canon EOS R cameras. Other features include 5,655 manually selectable AF positions, and 30x magnification, a 3.69m-dot EVF, video at up to 4K 30p.
The Canon EOS Ra is up for pre-order and will cost you $2,500 (body only). The shipping and availability details are not available at the moment.
