Microsoft is reportedly working on its own foldable Surface device and could launch in the first half of 2020. As per Forbes report which cited tech industry market research firm analyst IHS Markit, the new device will feature two 9-inch screens with 4:3 aspect ratio.
The device will run on an optimized version of Windows 10. The new customized Windows 10 OS will support dual display UI and a faster processor. It will be powered by Intel 10nm Lakefield chip. It will also feature always-on connectivity as it would come with LTE or 5G.
Further IHS also confirmed that the device will be able to run Android apps and iCloud apps.
Microsoft working on the device under the codenamed “Centaurus.” It’s said to have been in development for a few years.
