Jio Glass announced at Reliance’s annual AGM


Reliance Chairman, Mukesh Ambani announced a mixed reality headset, Jio Glass. It will be designed especially for students and teachers that would let them conduct holographic classes, make video calls, and host classes in 3D virtual rooms.

In order to use, you need to pair Jio Glass with your smartphone via a cable. It will launch with 25 built-in mixed reality apps. For audio, it will come with the support of spatial and directional XR sound system. Jio’s mixed reality headset will be very light and weighs just 75 grams.

Kiran Thomas, President, Reliance Industries Limited, said, in an AGM “Jio Glass is at the cutting edge of technology that provides best-in-class Mixed Reality services to give users a truly meaningful immersive experience.”

As of now, we don’t know when the device will be available to the public and what will be the cost of the product.
