Lenovo-owned Motorola has finally announced its first foldable smartphone in India. Motorola Razr (2019) is the revamped version of classic Moto Razr. Motorola Razr features a flexible screen that folds completely in half to give it the traditional clamshell look.

Update January 26: Motorola Razr is retail at $1,500 (~Rs 1,07,000) or $62.49 a month for 24 months, in the US. The phone is up for pre-order starting January 26 and shipping will start from February 6, 2020. The phone will be exclusively available at Verizon, Wallmart and Motorola’s own website.
Update December 21: Motorola announced the launch in the delay of its first foldable smartphone Moto Razr (2019). Motorola did not give new dates but said that demand surpassed supply predictions. The smartphone was supposed to go on pre-order in the US starting December 26, and shipping from January 6, 2020.
“Motorola has decided to adjust Razr’s presale and launch timing to better meet consumer demand,” the Lenovo Group Ltd. unit said Friday. “We are working to determine the appropriate quantity and schedule to ensure that more consumers have access to Razr at launch.”
Motorola’s first foldable phone Moto Razr is ready to hit the Indian market. Motorola has posted a tweet on twitter confirming that the phone is coming to India soon.
The phone will also launch in the Indian market, but price and availability details are not available at the moment. Motorola India has set up a registration page on its website where the interested consumers can sign up to get updates.

Motorola Razr (2019) specifications
The Motorola Razr dual-display. The primary display comes with a 6.2-inch flexible OLED HD+ (876×2142 pixels) screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It can be folded completely in half. There is also a secondary display of 2.7-inch with the resolution (600×800 pixels). The secondary display is used to check quick notifications, control music, receive calls, respond to messages or take selfies. The Moto Razr also includes a fingerprint sensor on the bottom.
Motorola says there is no gap between the two halves of the screen when it is folded. In the folded state, the consumers can access the secondary 2.7-inch (600×800 pixels) ‘Quick View display’ that can be used to take selfies, view notifications, control music playback, and a lot more.
Motorola has packed a 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture on the Quick View Display. In the folded state it will be used to take selfies. Once the user unfolds the phone, the 16-megapixel turned into a rear camera. The phone also includes a 5-megapixel camera in the primary display. It can be used to take selfies when the phone is in an unfolded state.
The phone is driven by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone runs stock Android 9 Pie and packs a 2510mAh battery paired with 15W quick charging support.
Connectivity options on the phone include NFC support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, and GPS. The Motorola Razr measures 72x172x6.9mm in the unfolded state and 72x94x14mm in the folded.
