The latest leaks from analyst Jeff Pu suggest that the upcoming iPhone 12 might be expensive than the current iPhone 11. Apple could hike the iPhone 12-series price by $50 (Rs. 37,00) or more in comparison with iPhone 11.
If true, the upcoming iPhone 12 with base variant (5.4-inch) would start at $749. This is $50 more than the price of the iPhone 11 of the same size which is currently available at $699.
Pu says that the rise in price is due to the fact that Apple is using OLED display and 5G technology in iPhone 12 series. To recall iPhone 11 launched with LCD display while flagship models iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone Pro Max comes with OLED display.
Based on Pu’s analysis MacRumors predicted that iPhone 12 Max with 6.1-inch may costs at $799 or $849, nearly a price hike by $100 to $150 in comparison to iPhone 11 of the similar size.
In addition, the upcoming iPhone 12 series will not be bundled with charging adaptor and earpods. Apple could take the decision to increase its sale of its earpods.
