A low-end OnePlus phone could debut in September


After launching a budget-friendly smartphone OnePlus Nord, last month. OnePlus is now planning to launch one more low-end smartphone in September in India. The phone will cost somewhere around Rs. 18,000.

A Twitter user (@Boby25846908) has confirmed that OnePlus’s low-end smartphone could debut next month. It is expected that the phone will be driven by either Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC.

It seems that after capturing the premium smartphone segment in India, OnePlus is looking to attract low-end and mid-range smartphone consumers. As a part of the strategy, OnePlus Nord was launched in July and now the company is looking to launch one more smartphone with even lower prices. The price of the upcoming smartphone will fall between Rs. 16,000 to Rs. 18,000.

As of now, OnePlus Nord is the cheapest smartphone available in India. It is priced at Rs. 24,999 for 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. It sports a 6.44-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display and with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone is driven by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor coupled with Adreno 620 GPU, up to 12GB RAM, and up to 256GB storage.
