Sony has launched a new RXO II camera in India. The camera is an upgraded version of RX0 launched a couple of years back.
In terms of optics, the RX0 II features a 15.3-megapixel sensor and a Zeiss Tessar T 24mm F4 fixed wide-angle lens. The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 20cm. It is powered by a BIONZ X image processor for better color reproduction. As per Sony, the RX0 II is the world’s smallest 4K video camera.
In terms of video, the RX0 II can shoot 4K video at 30 fps. It features a microphone jack and has in-body electronic stabilization that will be helpful for blogging. It also features a Super Slow Motion mode that shoots videos at 1,000 fps and has a continuous shooting mode for time-lapse-videos. The RX0 II also supports S-Log2 for more flexibility in post-processing.
The Sony RX0 II also has an LCD panel which can be tilted up to 180 degrees. You can use the camera underwater as well. It is certified to be waterproof up to 10 meters. It is dustproof rated at IP6X, and shockproof from drops up to 2 meters, and crushproof up to 200kg force form-factor.
The Sony RXO II camera has been priced at Rs 57,990. The action camera will be available from starting July 15 across all Sony Center, Sony authorized dealers and major electronic stores across India.
