Sony has launched the Rxo ii camera. The camera is an upgraded version of RX0 launched a couple of years back.
In terms of optics, the RX0 II features a 15.3-megapixel sensor and a Zeiss Tessar T 24mm F4 fixed wide-angle lens. The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 20cm. It is powered by a BIONZ X image processor. As per Sony, the RX0 II is the world’s smallest 4K video camera.
In terms of video, the RX0 II can shoot 4K video at 30 fps. It features a microphone jack and has in-body electronic stabilization that will be helpful for blogging. It also features a Super Slow Motion mode that shoots videos at 1,000 fps and has a continuous shooting mode for time-lapse-videos. The RX0 II also supports S-Log2 for more flexibility in post-processing.
The Sony RX0 II also has an LCD panel which can be tilted up to 180 degrees. You can use the camera underwater as well. It is certified to be waterproof up to 10 meters.
Other features of the RX0 II include Eye AF support for portraits and selfies as well as Wi-Fi/Bluetooth wireless connectivity.
The new Sony RX0 II will be available starting in April with a price tag of $700.
