These days cyber-attacks are common. So you need to take extra precautions to secure your Gmail account. Google offers multiple ways to secure to Gmail account via the 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) method. These methods include Google Prompt, Security Key, Authenticator app to protect your account from hackers or evil person. You can enable those 2FA in an easy way.

Via your mobile phone

Login with your Gmail account
Click on your profile and select “Manage Your Google Account”

Click on Security and choose 2 Step Verification, to start the process

Enter your Google password for confirmation

Enter your phone number and confirm it

Now, your 2-Step Verification should ON

Via Google Authenticator app

Click on Security and choose 2 Step Verification type as “Authenticator app”

Choose the Authenticator app type

Download and install the Authenticator app for iOS
Scan the barcode from the app and click Next

Enter the 6-digit scan code from Authenticator app

Click Done to complete the process

Via Google Prompts

Click on Security and choose 2 Step Verification type as “Google Prompt”

Click on Google Prompts and select Add Phone

Click on Get Started to start the process
Choose your phone according to the prompt
Go to the App Store, download and install the Google app
Sign in with your Google account into the phone
Click try-again on the
Choose your device and touch ID options

Confirm your Google account to enable your Google Prompt

You can disable 2FA anytime by going to the Settings.
