Netflix is reportedly testing a new Mobile+ plan that will offer HD support. In addition, the new Mobile+ plan will also allow you to stream content on your computer.
“We launched the Mobile plan in India to make it easier for anyone with a smartphone to enjoy Netflix. We want to see if members like the added choice [the Mobile+ plan] brings,” Netflix spokesperson told to Gadgets 360.
As of now, Netflix’s cheapest plan costs Rs. 199. It allows you to stream content on your phone as well as your tablet. It won’t give you the facility to watch content on your TV or computer/laptop. In order to watch content on a bigger screen like TV, you will have to go for a higher plan.
Currently, Netflix offers three plans in India. Its cheapest plan is for mobile-only and costs at Rs. 199. Basic plan costs at Rs 499 per month, standard at Rs 649 per month, and premium at Rs 799 per month.
The Basic plan offers to stream on one device at a time in HD (High Definition). The Standard plan offers to stream on two devices at a time in HD. The Premium plan offers to stream on up to four devices at a once in HD and Ultra HD.
