Gmail is updated with a new feature that will make searching emails very easier inside Gmail. The feature is called ‘search chips’ that can be used as a filter to narrow down your search results.
Let’s say you are searching for emails from ‘Mike’. So the search result will show all the emails from Mike. Below the search box ‘search chips’ will appear, which will further narrow down the result based on other factors like has an attachment, exclude chats, excludes calendar update and more. Those search chips can also be used in combinations. For eg, you can search and email from Mike that has an attachment and sent it last month.
The feature will be available to the GSuite users in the coming week. Once the rollout gets completed for GSuite users then it will be rolled out consumer Gmail users.
