Dating app Tinder is working on a Global Mode to match users across the globe. The new feature will give you access to the profiles across the world. Currently, the company is testing the feature with a limited set of users. Users will get to see the feature in the coming days.

The feature looks similar to Tinder Passport, a paid feature by the company. The Passport feature allows users to connect other users outside of their dating radius. However, unlike in Passport you can choose your own country or state in Global Mode you won’t able to select your country. In March, Tinder waived-off the subscription of Tinder Passport due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But that offer expired on April 30.

Amid Coronavirus, Tinder saw a surge in app usage. People are staying at home, so daters are using the app to virtually connected to each other. Tinder is not the only one who saw massive surge due to Coronavirus, Buble also saw high usage during March and April. Recently Bumble also introduced a feature called ‘Virtual Dating.’ It lets other potential daters that you are up for video chat.
