BSNL launches work from home broadband plan


Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) announced a new [email protected] broadband plan to all its existing landline users. The plan is launch so that users’ can avoid traveling and maintain social distancing amid COVID-19. The new promotional plan will also help BSNL to acquire new customers and compete with private players like Airtel and Jio Fibre.

[email protected] plan is free for the first month and after first month users will be migrated to the regular broadband plans. BSNL is also not charging any security fee or installation charges for the plan. The plan is offering 5GB data per day at the speed of 10mbps. Post the 5GB data limit speed will reduce to 1mbps. The plan is available to all circles including the Andaman and Nicobar circle.

“Broadband service is being offered free of charge for one month to all citizens across the country, who have BSNL landline and do not have any broadband so that they can use this service either to work from home, educate from home or anything that can minimize the need to move outdoor”, said Director CFA, BSNL Board Vivek Banzal, in an official statement.
