Netflix has announced that it is offering a free upgrade to users of standard and premium plans. According to a plan, Netflix Basic Plan users will be upgraded to Standard plans and Standard Plan users will be upgraded to premium plans for 30-days free of cost. Once a 30-days period is over, the users will be charged according to new plans if they won’t demote to the older plans.
Currently, Netflix offers four subscription plans to users in India. A mobile-only plan for Rs. 199. Basic plan costs at Rs 499 per month, Standard at Rs 649 per month, and Premium at Rs 799 per month. The Basic plan offers to stream on one device at a time in SD (Standard Definition). The Standard plan offers to stream on two devices at a time in SD. The Premium plan offers to stream on up to four devices at a once in HD and Ultra HD.
In another news, Netflix announced that it will cancel the subscription of dormant accounts.
