Xiaomi along with Vivo and Oppo unveiled a P2P (Peer to Peer) and cross-brand file transfer service, in January this year. Now four more major brands, OnePlus, Realme, BlackShark, and Meizu joined the service. It will now allow faster data transmission among the above-mentioned brands. The new expansion would impact around 40-crore users.
The service is similar to Apple’s Airdrop. It can transfer files with up to 20MB/s without internet connectivity. The technology don’t use any internet or Wi-Fi network since it is based on Bluetooth connectivity. The service won’t require any external third-party app.
