Dating app Tinder has waived off the Passport feature fee for all the users till April 30. The decision was taken so that daters can connect with people during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Passport feature allows users to connect other users outside of their dating radius. Tinder Passport is a paid feature and is exclusively available to the Tinder Plus and Gold subscriptions.

“As an area becomes more affected by physically-isolating measures, we see new conversations happening there and those conversations last longer. This epidemic is also changing the tenor of connection in the hardest-hit places. More people are using Tinder bios to show their concern for others (‘how is everyone’) instead of their life motto,” Tinder said in a statement.

How to use the feature

Once this feature is available to all, users can go to the profile
Tap on settings and change whichever location they want
Users can select the location by typing or by pinging on the map
