Jabra Elite 75t is an excellent pair of earbuds. It offers great audio quality and other features at a reasonable price. It can definitely give tough competition to the expensive Apple AirPods. The earbuds are small and comfortable to wear. The battery is also decent. It can play for around 7.5-hours in a single charge. The pair of earbuds are real superheroes at such an attractive price.
Design & Build
The design is slightly different from predecessor Elite Active 65t. It is 20 percent smaller than its predecessor. Elite 75t features more cylindrical design. It ships with three different pairs of silicone ear tips–small, medium and large. The earbuds are IP57 certified that makes them water, sweat, and dust resistant.
The built-in magnets at the inside of the earbuds help them to link together prevents them from falling apart. The Active 75t features two physical buttons to control music and other tasks. Press the button on left ear toggles “HearThrough Mode” or mutes the mic when on call, press and hold the button lowers the volume, skips a song when pressed twice, and pressing thrice will navigate backward. A long press and hold raise the volume, a double-tap activates the voice assistant. The earbuds have in-built ear detection sensors that pause the music as soon as you take them out and start playing if you put them back into your ear.
Both earbuds are coated with Jabra’s grip coating to prevent them from falling during a workout or other physical activities. The charging case is strong enough to keep your earbuds safe. The earbuds are available in Navy, Titanium Black, and Copper Black color options.
The earbuds feature a 6mm driver that can offer a frequency range of 20Hz to 20KHz. The earbuds offer decent sound with quality. At maximum volume, the sound gets too loud so we recommend trying to listen to songs with few levels down. With Jabra’s Sound+ app for iOS and Android also get updated with EQ settings. The app comes with three EQ presets for calls–default, boost and bass boost. With the SoundPlus app, you can create a sound profile that suits you. The earbuds come with “HearThrough Mode”, that lets you listen around you once the mode gets activated. The features are similar to Ambient Mode.
The earbuds feature dual-microphone in each earbud to provide crystal clear audio during calls. The earbuds miss ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) but come with Passive Noise Cancellation. It is not as effective as ANC. The Passive Noise Cancellation won’t cancel complete noises but it can do the task to some extent.
Elite 75t uses Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity. The earbuds can connect multiple devices at the same time. In fact, it can connect up to 8-devices at once. You can control the earbuds with digital voice assistants Including Google Assistant of Amazon Alexa.
The earbuds offer 7.5-hours of battery life in a single charge. But during our test, it lasted for only 7 hours and 10 minutes. So it fell short of what Jabra claimed. There is no doubt that battery is slightly better than Apple AirPods (4.5-hours) but it fell short of Powerbeats Pro (9 hours). The 7.5-hours battery life is extended to 28-hours with a charging case. The charging case takes more than 2-hours to go from 0 to 100%. With 15-minutes of “Quick Charge,” you can get 1-hour of listening.
