Google’s Summary

OnePlus has launched the successor of OnePlus 7 in September. Like the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7T is also a flagship phone from the company. It is a minor upgrade to the OnePlus 7. It inherits all the good features of OnePlus 7 such as build quality, 90 Hz display refresh rate. OnePlus also added tons of improvements in terms of camera and Oxygen OS 10. Design & Display

Design-wise OnePlus 7T looks identical to the predecessor OnePlus 7. The front and back of the smartphone made from high resistant Gorilla Glass. There is an aluminum metal frame that supports both the front and back panel. The front panel also features a teardrop notch. The device is slightly longer and slimmer than OnePlus 7 that makes it easier to hold in the hands. The 7T measures 160.94 x 74.44 x 8.13mm and weighs 190g. Since the back of the phone is purely made from glass, you just need to buy a protecting cover for the smartphone. Also, OnePlus didn’t gave any IPX rating so try to avoid using the phone during rain or swimming.

The back of the phone features a big circular camera bump. It features a triple camera setup aligned horizontally. Frankly speaking, I don’t find a circular camera bump appealing, a vertically aligned camera looks very familiar and neat. Like OnePlus 7 Pro, the 7T Pro comes with a motorized pop-up selfie camera. The camera-equipped with automatic fall detection, that makes retract it quickly if a free fall is detected.

Like all OnePlus phones before this one, there’s a mute slider to switch between silent, vibrate, and noise. The phone features an in-display fingerprint sensor, which works flawlessly. The phone is offered in Glacier Blue and Frosted Silver colors. Glacier Blue feels more premium and great to hold.

OnePlus 7T will feature a 6.55-inch “Fluid AMOLED” with the resolution of a 2400×1080 pixel, 20:9 aspect ratio and a refresh rate of 90Hz. 90Hz display refresh rate is the USP of the smartphone. The 90fps offer smooth experience while gaming, scrolling pages and text. The display is very bright and sharp. Colors’ accuracy is good, black is uniformly deep. Watching movies on Netflix and videos on YouTube gives a wonderful experience. The phone also supports HDR10+.

Processor and Performance

The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 855+ paired with Adreno 640, 8GB RAM and 128GB/512GB storage. OnePlus 7 is very snappy and fast phone and OnePlus claimed that OnePlus 7T is 15% faster than the predecessor. So you are not going to face any kinds of performance issues or lags during playing games or watching HD videos on Netflix.

In terms of optics and camera, the phone will feature a triple camera setup comprises of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with aperture f/1.6, a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor with 2x zoom, and a 16-megapixel Ultra-Wide sensor with 117-degree field of view. The front camera sensor is of a 16-megapixel sensor. The camera will feature Night mode and will be able to Super Slow-Motion recording at 960FPS 720p.

OnePlus has improved the camera if we compare it with other old generations OnePlus phones. The addition is how the OnePlus 7T camera performs in low light and when capturing macro shots. The photos capture using Night mode are much bright and improved over OnePlus 7. You can easily find the difference between photos capture from both the phones. It has a new Ultra-Wide angle lens and it gives pretty good results.

The photos taken from OnePlus 7T are bright, less noisy and detailed. Colors are naturals but little bit oversaturated. The 16-megapixel sensor captures good selfies, but the subject separation isn’t perfect. The video camera supports up to 4K video at 60 fps, 1080p at up to 240 fps, and 720p at up to 960 fps.

The phone will pack a 3,800mAh with WARP Charge 30T Fast Charging. OnePlus 7T has a smaller battery than its predecessor OnePlus 7 (4,000mAh). OnePlus claimed that 30 Warp Charge can charge your phone from 0 to 70% charge in just 30 minutes. If you are a normal user then it can get you through the whole day. On extreme usage which includes longer sessions of games, camera, streaming and surfing and using social networks, OnePlus 7T will last you less than a day.

The handset to run on Android 10 based on Oxygen OS. Oxygen OS is very clean, lightweight and comes with some useful pre-installed apps. It comes with reading mode, which makes the display black and white while reading. Google’s Android 10 gestures replace the OnePlus’s swipe.

For Home:- Swipe up from the bottom, Recent Apps:- swipe up and hold, Going Back:- swipe in from either the left or right edge of the screen. To access the most recent apps, just slide the gesture bar to the left or right. To access Google Assistant swipe in from the lower corner of the screen.

OnePlus 7T is available in two variants. The phone with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage to cost Rs. 37,999 while phone with 8GB RAM and 256GB are priced at Rs. 39,990. The phone is available online as well as offline retail channels.
