Amazon is making sure that its new Echo devices are much safer to children. To keep that in mind, Amazon introducing a new service called “Alexa Communications for Kids.” It allows parents to whitelist contacts that their kids are allowed to talk to via Echo devices. That means parents can approve the child to call or video chat with family members or friends but not with strangers.
Amazon also announced a kid-friendly subscription library FreeTime to all Echo Show devices. That will let users watch only FreeTime-approved videos. Kids can utilize the library for other things such as decorate photos with stickers, sing songs along with the lyrics.
