During its annual call for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2020, Apple has confirmed that there will be a slight delay in the availability of the new iPhone 12 series.
“Last year we started selling new iPhones in late September, this year we expect supply to be available a few weeks later,” said Apple CFO Luca Maestri.
Maestri didn’t unveil why Apple is delaying the availability of the iPhone 12. But it is likely that due to pandemic Coronavirus, Apple’s whole supply chain got impacted. In June, Apple partner Broadcom also hinted that Apple might delay the iPhone 12.
Generally, Apple announces the new iPhone series in September and makes the device available by the end of September. This year, the new iPhone 12 series won’t be available until October.
This year, Apple is planning to launch four new iPhone models including iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. All iPhone models will feature Face ID and display refresh rate of 120Hz.
