Sony launches new neckband-style wireless earbuds called Sony WI-1000XM2. The earbuds will succeed Sony’s previous WI-1000X.

The WI-1000XM2 uses the same QN1 chip which Sony used for the WH-1000XM3. The new earphones are equipped with 9mm dynamic drivers. The Bluetooth headphones also sport 32-bit audio signal processing, a built-in headphone amplifier, and a dual noise sensor technology. It also supports voice assistant such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

The battery of a neckband earbuds can provide up to 10 hours of music playback. The battery is Quick Charge enabled, so it can provide up to 80 minutes of playback from just 10 minutes of charging.

The WI-1000X went for $199.99 (€280/£260). In India, it is launched at the price of Rs. 21,990.
