Facebook-owned social networking site Instagram has removed the IGTV button from its Android and iOS apps. The IGTV button was placed at the top right corner of the app and let users access to IGTV content.
Techcrunch quoted an Instagram spokesperson, “Most people are finding IGTV content through previews in Feed, the IGTV channel in Explore, creators’ profiles and the standalone app.” “very few are clicking into the IGTV icon in the top right corner of the home screen in the Instagram app.”
IGTV was launched in June 2018. IGTV lets users create content exceeding the current maximum 60-second clip limit for the first time. The hub will feature YouTube-like vlogs around 10 minutes long.
