Microsoft rolled out preview of Family Safety app

Microsoft, Tech News

Microsoft started rolling out the limited preview of the Family Safety app on Android and iOS. The app was announced in March, this year. It is an extension of Microsoft’s existing family tools for Windows and Xbox. The app allows parents to keep an eye on their children and control the type of content they are viewing.

Parents can use the app to view the screen time, check the browsing history of their kids. They can even set the time limit, control the viewing content, and turn on location sharing. For instance, if you set the 1-hour time limit for games, then your kids would play games for 1 hour only in any of the devices including Xbox, Windows, or Android. If kids want to play games for more than 1-hour, then they again need to ask permission to their parents through the family safety app.

Parents can set the search block filter to block the mature content. They can also set notifications so whenever their kids download any adult games or apps, parents will get notified.

You can visit the link to access the preview. The app will be available on App Store and Play Store, once launched.
