Qualcomm launches a few new chipsets to cater for the 4G network. The three new chipsets are modeled as Snapdragon 720G, Snapdragon 662, Snapdragon 460. All three chipsets India’s NavIC global positioning system. These new chipsets will be used by mobile manufacturers across the world in their new mobile handsets.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G specifications
The G in chipsets is meant for gaming and is built using an 8mm process. Qualcomm claims that the new Snapdragon 720G will support HDR gameplay and video. It will also support 4K video recording and shoot up 192-megapixels. The chipset is equipped with the X15 LTE modem, which can provide a download speed of up to 800Mbps. In terms of connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 specifications
The Octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 is a trimmed down version of 720G. Qualcomm claims that the 662 supports “new triple camera configurations and smooth switching between.” The Snapdragon 662 is equipped with 3rd-gen AI Engine and its built-in Spectra 340T will support triple camera configurations. Like a higher model 720G, it also supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. It can offers up to download speed of up to 390Mbps.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 specifications
The chipset is designed for lower-end handsets. It equipped with 3rd-gen AI Engine and X11 LTE modem. The chipset will be ideal for moderate photography and normal usage.
The smartphone maker could launch the smartphone with Snapdragon 720G chipset in the first quarter of the year while devices made on the 662 and 460 chipsets will debut by the end of the year.
